it has been a long while since we have all gone out together...last friday, we finally gotten a chance to meet up after a long long long long while.....:D
as usual, i'm always the kay-poh organiser who ensured that we have a little gathering once in a while. i started emailing everyone and asking if they would be free to meet up, for a drink, a dinner, a movie or anything. the response was rather good. everyone agreed to meet up. we gathered all and met at bugis last friday. a little bonus to the whole gathering, my husband and my friend's husband came too.
well, everyone seems a little unfamiliar to everyone. guess we just need sometime to get our 'engine warmed'. soon, i can feel that our engines are warming...good good good.
we waited for my best friend, M, to arrive. M came and she looked as if she was in a grumpy mood. i felt bad looking at her like that. she had told me she was very tired but she came as it has been a while since we gathered but looking at her face expression, i felt bad urging her to come. i heaved a sign of relieve when i saw that she started to blend into the group and starting joking, chatting and laughing along with the rest.
being the organiser of the day, my main concern was that i had to ensure that everyone gets along with everyone and indeed they did.
after our dinner, we were deciding where to go. pub? we can't. oh! did i mention that one of my friend, C, is pregnant? mmmmm....about 6mths into her pregnancy. we tried to avoid going places where there would be too much smoke. well, it is not good for her. let's think again. bowling? not all like to bowl....hw about billard/pool? we girls sure do not know how to play. how how how?????
we sat in that restaurant for another half an hour just to think of what to do next? how about just finding a place to sit down and relax and have some drinks? that shall be it. we decided to adjourn to MS.
die ah...when we reached there, we also do not know where to sit and relax. we walked around MS for like....another half an hour? aiyah...let's jus go karaoke joint to sit and drink and if anyone likes it, can also sing, my friend R said. oooookkkkkk....no objection? seems like no one objected. i presume it was because everyone was tired from walking, especially the pregnant lady C.
while waiting for the staff to get us a room, M decided she would wanna go home first. Guess she was really really bushed. In fact, at bugis, she already said she wanna go back home first but we stopped her. She was the one who called V to ask him to meet us up then after that she wanna go home? No way! We dragged her with us to MS. She, no choice, but to follow us. After waiting for about 15mins for the room to be ready, M told me again she would want to go home. I said ok. She looks really tired. After she left, we continued waiting for the room. That was when me and my husband started doing some calculations. actually, paying approx $30 for just spending one two hrs inside that room...rather expensive wor. we think think think then my husband voiced out saying probably we should not waste the money. maybe we can just go to any fast-food joint?
that time, it was already 10+. We decided to go to a fast-food joint to wait for V. Shortly, he arrived. We ordered drinks and continued chatting over there. We played a silly game. Though it was silly, it was enjoyable actually. About an hour later, we gotta leave as the fast-food restaurant was closing. We decided to end our gathering there and then also.
i enjoyed the gathering...it was a time for all to do some catching up. would we be having more? of course we would be. i would try to organise more in the future so that we would not miss out that much.
hmmmmm...hw about next month?????? :D
